Rebates
Medicare - General Nutrition
PARTIAL REBATES
You may be eligible for a partial rebate through Medicare via a Chronic Disease Management Plan (previously known as Enhanced Primary Care or EPC). To qualify for this rebate, a referral is required from your GP, entitling you to 5 sessions per calendar year.
SAFER SPACE PROGRAM
Glow Group Health and Wellbeing offers bulk-billed sessions to clients that might be facing financial hardship. Please find the Safer Space Program here for more details.
Medicare - Eating Disorders
Rebates are also available for eligible clients through the Medicare Eating Disorder Plan Pathway. To qualify for this rebate, a referral is required from your GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician, entitling you to 20 dietetic sessions per 12 month period. Glow Group Health and Wellbeing does not bulk bill, so we do ask that clients kindly pay the difference between the fee charged and the Medicare rebate.
Private Health
Most private health funds offer coverage for Dietitian/Nutrition services as a component of their extras cover. If you are unsure of your coverage, we recommend contacting your health fund to see whether you are eligible. Should you have any questions or queries regarding the claiming process, the Glow Group team is very happy to help.
DVA
If you have a Department of Veterans Affair (DVA) Health Care Card, your Dietitian service may be fully funded. Dietitian services may be funded through Gold Cards, and White Cards if related to an accepted condition.To qualify for this rebate, a referral is required from your GP or medical specialist. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, the Glow Group team would be happy to assist you in assessing your eligibility.
